These packages are ideal if you are looking for flexible, one-off or occasional support during pregnancy or after birth, without committing to a full care package. Care is tailored to your individual needs and can complement existing NHS or private care.
Antenatal ad hoc appointments can be booked at any stage of pregnancy and may include pregnancy check-ups, birth preparation, personalised education, biomechanics for comfort and labour preparation, birth planning or birth mapping, and time to discuss concerns or questions in a relaxed setting.
Postnatal ad hoc appointments offer targeted support in the early days and weeks after birth. These sessions are unhurried and can include infant feeding support, newborn care guidance, postnatal wellbeing checks, emotional support, and reassurance as you adjust to life with your baby.
Appointments are usually 1–2 hours in length and take place in the comfort of your own home. Where required, referrals to NHS services can be made to ensure continuity and safety of care.
(from 34 weeks)
This package is designed if you are seeking individualised midwifery care later in pregnancy, from 34 weeks onwards, and wish to have consistent support through birth.
Care begins with a comprehensive initial consultation, allowing time for us to explore your pregnancy journey so far, any medical history, preferences, and plans for birth that you may have.
From 34 weeks, antenatal appointments are offered weekly, providing ongoing assessment, preparation, and reassurance as you approach birth. Appointments take place in your own home, creating a calm and supportive environment.
This package includes tailored birth preparation, which may involve personalised antenatal education, biomechanics for labour, hypnobirthing techniques, and detailed birth mapping or complex birth planning where appropriate—ensuring you feel informed, confident, and supported in your choices.
I will be on call for you from 37 weeks for birth, mirroring the continuity of carer package.
I also offer 1:1 standalone education packages for families who would like focused support without ongoing midwifery care.
These individual sessions can include personalised parent education, biomechanics for pregnancy and labour to optimise comfort, positioning, and physiological birth, and the full KG Hypnobirthing course, tailored to your needs and birth preferences.
Sessions are adapted to your stage of pregnancy, previous experiences, and chosen place of birth, and can be delivered in your home or online, whichever platform you wish. This flexible approach allows you to access evidence-based tools, confidence, and practical preparation in a way that fits around you and your family.
